Search Bible dictionaries for people, places, concepts, and theological terms.

What is the Dictionary Panel?

The Dictionary Panel gives you access to Bible dictionaries and encyclopedias directly inside your study workspace. Search for any person, place, concept, or theological term and read full reference articles without leaving your study.

How to use it

  1. Open the Dictionary Panel from the panel menu.
  2. Type at least 2 characters in the search box to find entries.
  3. Select an article from the results list to read the full entry.
  4. Follow related entry links within articles to explore connected topics.
  5. Click Add to Context to save article content to the User Context Panel.

Tips

  • Use the Dictionary Panel alongside Word Study — when you find an unfamiliar Hebrew or Greek word, search for its English equivalent in the dictionary to get broader cultural and historical context.
  • Searching for a place name (e.g. “Corinth”) gives you historical and geographic background that enriches the meaning of the text.
