User Notes Panel

Write and manage personal notes attached to individual verses. Your study journal in the workspace.

What is the User Notes Panel?

The User Notes Panel lets you write personal notes tied to specific Bible verses. Unlike context snippets (which capture content from other sources), notes are your own observations, questions, and interpretations. Notes persist across studies — once you write a note on a verse, it appears any time that verse comes up in any study.

How to use it

  1. Open the User Notes Panel from the panel menu.
  2. Tap a verse in the Study Panel to set it as the active verse.
  3. Click the pen icon in the panel header to add a new note for the active verse.
  4. Edit existing notes inline by clicking on them.
  5. Use the filter toggle to show notes for the active verse only, or all study verses.

Tips

  • Notes are verse-specific and persistent — the note you write on John 1:1 today will appear the next time you study John 1:1 in any workspace.
  • The Study Panel has a Notes toggle in its header — use it to show or hide your notes inline in the reading view without opening the Notes Panel.
  • Use AI note generation as a starting point, then edit and personalize the note with your own observations and applications.
